                           "Never, Never, Never Give Up"

We have all had, have or will have situations in our lives that are less than pleasant but we must never give up.  As I look back over my life, I remember times, that had it not been for my faith and knowing that God was on my side, I would have given up.  I’ve been downsized twice, lost both parents to cancer, had to let go of some people that were dear to me and the list goes on and on.  Thanks to the faithful God I serve, I’m still here and not just here, but happy!

I want to encourage you to never give up.  Life gets hard sometimes but according to the bible we should consider it a joy.  James 1:2-4: “Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3 because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. 4 Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.”  This scripture lets us know that things are going to get rough sometimes. The question is, how are you going to handle it?   Will you fall apart or trust God?  Will you walk in faith or fear?  Will you be victorious or the victim?

God wants us to walk in wisdom and to trust him.  James 1:5-8: 5 “If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. 6 But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. 7 That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. 8 Such a person is double-minded and unstable in all they do.”  God let’s us know that when we ask him for something and doubt he will give it to us, we shoudn’t expect to get anything from him.  I don’t know about you but I need some things from the Lord and to receive them, I must trust Him.  Do you trust God, I mean really trust Him?  Only you can answer that.  Know that he is trustworthy and does what he says he will do.  He’s faithful.  Again, never give up.

Many blessings,
